Abbey Pumping Station, Leicester     This fantastic Victorian pumping station has been restored, and you can now see the old beam engines working under steam again. A fascinating place!           The main engine hall - four beam engines.   One engine was in steam and running beautifully.             The beam floor - classic Victorian engineering.   Lovely detailing in the building.             Everything painted up and lined out.   Aerial view of two of the four flywheels, plus the control dials.             There were other exhibits too - old buses,   An old delivery van,             A nice old steam-roller,   And a narrow-gauge railway running round the site.
